7-Day Experience as a nano-project: 10-18-2018
Michael Josefowicz and I are thinking about nano-projects that are doable in a short time frame with resources at hand.
What makes 7-Day Experience a useful Thortspace nano-project?
One feature of nano-projects that I have discovered is that we often do not know where each nano-project will lead...
I often do Thortspace nano-projects ( and other transmedia nano-projects) because I can experiment quickly and learn something.
Each of us can explore different features of Thortspace. Others in TS community can get ideas for experimenting from the 7-Day mash-ups
Collaborative nano-projects like this one are a micro-mastery approach where there is a social payoff for experimenting.
Let collaboration happen: A Growing Systems of Success (GSS) stance - we can do parallel play and over time collaborations may take shape.
Can we encourage groups to start 7-Day spheres for learning TS? Working out Loud encourages community members to form circles
7-Day Experience: Day 2: 10-19-2018
The seven day experience is a model for converting "blah-blah" on Facebook to a pMOOC (people's MOOC)
people's MOOC = Connectivist MOOC + Maker space
We are making a Thortspace sphere together
We are engaging in conversations with members of Thortspace community
Each person sets their learning agenda
Each person develops TS skills by being immersed in a project
Rapid learning approach - Incremental
I am using TS differently here. Just sharing ideas that I am considering in other contexts, and yet sharing in a more freeform way.
This is a great example of learning by nano-projects! Measurable: My personal goal is to add at least four thorts daily.
Michael Josefowicz: 10-19-2018: Printernet Newsletter nano-projects
See the second iteration of the newsletter
Make final orrections
Print
Photograph with me or someone else reading the newspaper
Prepare the ground for meetings with printers by distributing the photo via twitter
10-19-2018: Micro project- get the premier issue of Printernet New York printed.
nano project 1.0 get a first iteration from Gigi for the look and feel -Done.
Nano project 2.0 get a second iteration from Gigi to confirm it is good enough for selling..
Nano project 3.0 Print out a couple of copies. Take a photo.
Nano project 4.0 Spread the photo on twitter to prepare the ground for meetings with printers to see if I can make a sale.
10-19-2018: Macro-project: Writing across the Curriculum: Micro project- Write an essay on the Integumentary system
nano project 1.0 Read chapter on Integumentary System
Nano project 2.0 Take notes
Nano project 3.0 Memorize one section of essay each day
Nano project 4.0 Practice writing
You guys are very organised ! :-)
This is an example of a link to specific place in a medium article
How to link to a specific paragraph in your Medium article (2018 Table of Contents method)
I used this article to figure out how to do that.
What is is? – Thortspace - Collaborative 3D Mind Mapping Software – Medium
This is the article / presentation where I tried out the technique of creating a parallel slide presentation / medium article / Thortspace journey and creating links connect them all together.
Thanks, Andrew. Will Check out Medium -Thortspace integration. But first, I want to set up a nano-project!
Rama's micro-project 1 (week of 10-18-2018): Integrate Medium articles and Thortspace
Nano-Project 1.1: Include examples of each person's nano-projects in the sphere.
Nano-project 1.2: Write an article about GSS 7 Day Sphere in Medium
Nano-project 1.3: Create a thort for each person in Thortspace.
Nano-project 1.4: Link to the section about that person.
10-19-2018: Printernet Micro project- Teaching English
Nano project 1: Clarifying the importance of English in that village
Nano project 2: getting pupils to teach
Nano project 3: Elaboration of the English program
Nano project 4: Dividing pupils into two groups.
10-19-2018: Menya Magazine Nano-projects
1. I will visit some entrepreneurs
2. I will write a story on wordpress
3. Share it on social networks
4. Read and respond to comments.
5. Will register the beneficiaries of our workshop
A paragraph about me.
I have been learning about Heidegger since I was an undergraduate. But now I am just beginning to understand.
I am a product designer at Thortspace, a company that works with clients to create transformational insight.
Love all this!
